I recently had some time to get my component speakers installed in the NSX and while the door panels were off....well you know how it is! You can't just leave well enough alone. I decided to update the door inserts with some genuine Alcantara Ultrasuede and some new foam. It looks and feels amazing compared to the stock perforated leather, but here's my pickle - I can't decide if I want to do the arm rest as well in the Alcantara or just leave that part stock. It would only be about another hour's work to do the armrest while I'm at it, what do you think? Should I do the armrest as well?

I really want to do this to my door inserts, except in perforated leather.

Did you ruin the leather taking it off, and if not, would you want to sell it (to me)?

Back on topic!
I like the contrast of the alcantra next to the leather arm rests personally. So I vote no on alcantra arm rest.

Mine is a 2000 which came with perforated leather from Honda.

all of it was in decent shape I just had alcantara in my last car so I was happy to convert this car slowly that direction...

How hard was that? Wanna sell your perforated leather? I'm not a fan of the 'curtains'

It was maybe 3 hours work per panel. I pulled off the leather, foam, and then used acetone to strip off the old adhesive before re-foaming & wrapping the pieces. I also just finished the door jamb trim panel as well.
