Guys,

I've decided to sell my Blitz Technospeed Z2 wheels and thought I'd give the locals first opportunity before I put them in the classifieds or on ebay.

I bought them new in Oct 2002.

They are 17x8 front and 18x10 rears with 215/40/17 and 275/35/18 Dunlop Sport 9000's mounted. 8000kms on the tires and rims. Wheels are 3 pcs with Silver centers with Chrome Lip.

My NSX was the only one in North America with these Rims. (One fellow in UK bought the same wheels after he saw mine) This is one of the largest lips you'll find on an 18" rim for the NSX.

The rims are 95% perfect.

I have not set a price yet but paid $7000.00 CDN for the package in 2002.

PM me an offer if anyones interested.

Those are saweetahhh!!! Have you posted them on the marketplace?

Have not posted them anywhere yet. I love the wheels but since they won't fit over the Brembo BBK I have no use for them.

You've got more use for your old wheels than you do the BBK, blingboy!

I agree with the above mentioned Yellow Fellow and think ur crazy to sell the wheels to go to a BBK, the brakes don't look small with those wheels and since you'll never track your baby who needs the kit?

Also, Dave and I have both agressively tracked our cars and I can't report a serious need for bigger brakes from him or I - so why u?

Keep the wheels and spend the $$$ on a track car and get REALLY driving!

Stu - Johnny loves the bling! He knows that he has never even come close to the limits of the stock brakes, but he wanted the BBK anyways. Thats OKAY!

You need to rid yourself of that hood! I know just the place to stash it!

But yeah, the stock brakes, even with the stock pads and the stock lines, worked well for me at Mosport for 20+ events. Ive since upgraded pads and to SS lines, and with a few events on those, they're a slight improvement. But the calipers are amazing. Im sure that I could pound on them like the Pcar big reds, at least at Mosport anways, which is an easy on the brakes track.

My "big Reds'" are black (928 GT) even bigger than Red!

Mosport is only easy on YOUR brakes, and thats because the downforce you now make means you don't need to brake into the corners, the car just sticks!

Johnny, Don't waste your $$$, trust me, your brakes look big to me! Spend the money on the baby - and get your cousin Cal to finish my Stainless coutertop so I can move in!

too late Stu - his BBK was installed 6 weeks ago!

The crappy thing is that these things actually hinder driving. They stop him well, but now he needs more power to keep him moving forward.

Its a viscous circle.

And when you're hungry and looking for a place to pull up a chair to to eat some snacks, you too will find solitude in the big ass wing.

Well, both Stu and I have the new 02+ brakes, which are different. But I bet its your pads/fluid....

Stock NSX brakes should not suck on the street, no matter what year they are.

I tend to agree. I change my fluid annually or if it's cooked from the track. I bought some rotors (X-drilled) and some Cobalt GTS pads for my stock callipers and they are amazing. I always liked the stock ones to, but these are a little more suitable for me.

At a braking seminar at NSXPO 04, the experts were unanimous. BBKs look great and have less fade at the track, but eat power, cost a lot and don't improve your stopping distances that much. It's all compound on metal at the end of the day. Oh ya, and if you get a cheap BBK they can really screw with your balance to.

Brembo, my fluid was recently done.....and i also have SS lines...could be the pads & rotors.....but I have decided to go BBK....it will look SICK on your car johnny, can't wait to see some pics of those 14inch rotors and the massive calipers...

My stock brakes suck! I don't have serious hp, but do they ever suck.....I am also planning on BBK.

If your brakes suck then get them fixed:rolleyes:, every year NSX has awesome brakes - upgrade if you don't like the way they look  and you don't care much about unsprung weight, handling, or braking - but otherwise, go see a good mechanic and put the money into learning to drive on a track - its much more rewarding and a skill you'll take with you into ANY car.

Wow, good thread on BBK

I've just received my Powerslots, will switch to Pagids, SS lines and of course new fluid this fall for next year. Thanks for making me cancel my sweet deal on Rotora's 4 pots Yay!

Glad to be of service, now spend some of your savings on a few track days and learn how much fun your car REALLY is.

Trust me, its not much fun.

ITS A RIOT!!!!

Yeah, after Dave finished his session on the track they had an old fashioned Riot - they came after him with pitchforks and torches!

Seriously, modding your car to make it run better on the track is whole different thing - you'll enjoy the benifits on the street, AND you'll actually know you're a better driver, which is a bigger ego boost than some 12 year boy saying, "your car looks cool".

And besides, what turns girls on more, looking at your car, or hearing you say, "I'm a race car driver"

Stu - I was dissappointed that Tron didnt show up yesterday.

I thought you had a race car?

I was dissapointed you didn't have your camera to get my new cool shirt up in this forum!

Youre right!

It was a really good one too! Not for me, but Im sure a segment of the population would like it.

It read:

"My other ride is your boyfriend".

I gotta hand it to you Stu - not anyone could pull that shirt off. But you sure did!

NO!!!!!!! Notice there's no photographic evidence from Dave!!!

The shirt REALLY read:

MY OTHER RIDE IS YOUR GIRLFRIEND!

Dave, keep dreaming, but I'm not going to switch-hit with you!

Maybe you think it says that, or maybe it says that on one side of it, but the shirt you were wearing yesterday clearly reads:

My other ride is your boyfriend.

I dont care which way you swing Stu, you know that, but I did think it was an odd choice to wear to a track day. But then I looked at your car, with pink on the bottom and I went on with my day and forgot about it all.

Dude! STOP WORRYING!!! I'm not into your boyfriend - I'm not into boys at all.

Perhaps your problem is that red/pink colorblindness - as everyone can clearly see my car is RED and White, not pink and white:confused:.

Dave, dream long:rolleyes: ! Just becasue you have the same car as me doesn't mean we're a couple!

Im not the one wearing rose colored glasses Stu. If you see red, its time to change the tinting of those speks!

Much like your shirt, which in case anyone missed it reads "MY OTHER RIDE IS YOUR BOYFRIEND", your car is PINK as a PANTHER!

Its fast though! Id rather be fast and pink than slow and red!
