I know this is too big for the stocking, but I will gladly leave the front door open so you can skip the chimney:D

Comptech has been playing with the machining tools

Yes, this is a normally aspirated stroker engine with new crank, rods, and pistons, plus a dry sump oiler, and beautifully machined individual throttle bodies (also available in CF)

OK, how much $$$?

Or should I say, How much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$?!?

Enough to just trade in the current car and spend that extra cash on the next gen NSX when it comes out instead?

The second one is more likely. I did not get an exact figure, but I think somewhere in the $15-20K range with your engine would be appropriate.

I assume a new ECU is needed to install this baby correct?

Yes, to get the most out of it you would need a Motec, etc. That is sort of included in the above statement.

How about we just skip the whole reindeer flying to my house deal, and I'll just head up to the North Pole right now, pick mine up early and save Santa the trouble and headaches. Gosh, I am too kind!

It is designed for race applications, and Vtech is disabled. They can build it any way you like, but to get the max HP, it would not be as streetable. I think it is 12.5 to 1 compression, stroked to 3.4 liters, and redline is still 8000 rpm to try to keep from rebuilding after every race. This setup uses a dry sump oiler, which would knock of 3 grand to use the stock oil system. Without the velocity stacks, figure 30-40 less HP and another 3 grand.

Hey there Gary,

Am I missing something here, or is there going to be a team running NSX's at ALMS next year? If so, some info would be nice. :)

BTW that thang is gorgeous! NA 3.4 liter V6 spitting out 470BHP, Sweet! Put me on the list too!! :D

That is my understanding from Comptech. There will be a car with Honda backing in the series next year. I do not remember the team name, but I believe they are based out of CA. (Hart?)

That's not so bad. Pumping out big horses from an NA engine is definitely a lot more attractive than FI. For under 30k, I say it's a bargain.
