'De-tuning' process

and he reminded me that the car had the "de tuning" process done at the dealer when new to save on tires. he says this process is easily reversible,

This was taken from an ad of someone selling an 02 model.
I've never heard of this before. Is it just the fact that a tech at the dealership adjusted the control arms in the rear?

Yeah, that sounds like the same thing to me. Just never knew or heard of dealers doing that to them.
I leaning pretty hard toward selling my current one and buying this one.
