I'm looking at the owners manual and noticed that there are 2 fuses for the DRLs. One is in the interior box (#3) and there's another one under the front hood (#19).

Ive been reading and noticed a lot of peeps use #3. I'm trying to use #19 instead so that I can run my wires and keep everything under the hood.

So I got the side emitting led and was wondering if I can just plug the positive lead to fuse 19 and run the negative lead to the battery. Thanks

also, what size fuse should I use?

for correct functionality, you want the fuse #3 from the interior fuse box. #3 has the logic actually for DRLs. It will power up when the ignition key is in the run position.
#19 supplies power for the lamps as with a headlamp relay.
for routing the wire see:

You should use a add a circuit fuseholder.

The LEDs do not draw much current. I think the lowest amperage ATO fuse is 2.5 amps, but when you buy the add a circuit, it comes with 4 fuses, and the lowest amperage is a 3 amp fuse. The 3 amp fuse will work just fine. If you want to put a 2. amp fuse in, that will work also.
