I just brought a US car into Canada and need to hook up for Daytime Running lights in my 2003. (I figured to ask since many US owners may like the look of the lights on without the penalty of dimming the radio. clock, etc.)

I checked the Manual and there's a fuse position for it (#3 if I recall) and for kicks I put the right size fuse in and nothing happened.

Does anyone know what has to be done? (I assume a relay needs to be added to a slot that exists somewhere).

I have a '91 that I imported in 2001. I also have the shop manual with the electrical diagram which does show the DRL circuitry. However, I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how much of the DRL circuitry they'd installed (mostly the wiring) and not installed (the expensive parts like the controller) and eventually gave up and just installed a relay that turns them on whenever the ignition is on.

This is not exactly the way it's supposed to work but it satisfied the RIV inspection. In reality, there's a control module that takes in a number of other inputs (such as: "is the e-brake on?" and "are the headlights on?") but it wasn't present and I seem to recall that the Acura price is pretty steep. I put the relay up front above the battery and spliced into the wiring coming out of one of the fuse/relay boxes up there (that was almost 4 years ago so don't ask for details). I've been meaning to put a second relay in to cut the power to the DRLs when the headlights are on .. but I haven't got around to it.
