Dashboard noise/creak??

Back last winter, I noticed a creaking sound from the top of the dashboard of my '91. It occurred during turns (any speed) and cornering. Then when the weather warmed up, it went away.
Now, it seems to have reared it's ugly head again. When I press on the center of the main dash toward the windshield (right where the upper dash meets), I am able to duplicate the noise. Anyone experiencing this? Any fixes? It kinda sounds like the material rubbing together (like vinyl against vinyl sound), maybe a shot of silicone? I was thinking about wedging something between the upper/lower section to prevent the sound. Doubt it would be asthetically pleasing though. Maybe I could use a pack of rolling papers, LOL. Thanks!

I have similar problem on the 91, try 3M insulation tape in black that you use for storm doors. a shot of silicone spray but short term as it is due to age of the material. it may have hardened under the sun, or variation in temp. Not really annoying but not worth taking it to a dealer.

Yes, I was thinking along the same lines regarding the insulation. I figured that it was age related - we do have some varying temps here in the south as well. Thanks for your suggestion.
