Part of the right side of the a/c controls do not light up. Is there a special way of getting into the rear of that area and can you change the lights individually?
Thanks

Too funny! It just happened to me too. I am pretty sure there is a light bulb we can change attached to the climate control... I just havent had time to check.

MiamieNeSex,

Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no magic way to pull out the CCU. You must take out the clock, the vents, the lighter, the console box, and the trim that goes over the CCU and radio. See the Service Manual. Hint: Pry down the chrome ring at the top of the shifter skirt, and unscrew the shift knob before pulling out the console trim.

As for the lights in the CCU display: Does every function of the CCU work otherwise? If so, then it may well be confined to the lamps, display unit, or display driver circuitry. There is a connection to the Dash Brightness Controller, so there may be lamps inside, but this could be just a level to the circuit board to tell the CCU how bright to make the display, whatever its nature. You will just have to take it apart to find out, unless someone else on this forum has been there.

Good luck,

Bill

This are several Small bulbs in the CCU. As Acuraphile said you must take out the unit and unscrew the cover to access the them from what I remember. Otherwise, they can be accessed from the underside. The bulb is one of the tiny two wire units similar to the one that is in the TCS button on the right side of the dash console. Search the repair manual for the pic of the TCS switch light. If everything is working good you should be set. However, for me I replaced the burnt bulb and afterwards thought it would be wise to replace the entire unit AKA blower motor issues
