I understand... just received mine, it was just above zero, no snow, so was able to drive it !
And then winter came
Wouldn't hurt to drive it for 500-1000km this winter with a good undercarriage wash after every ride, but still, I'm not sure I want to get it in the salt even though it is 95% aluminium...
You guys in SoOnt (<--new term, use it) have it good. I've seen nothing but white stuff here in Ottawa since Dec 18. In fact I took my NSX out for one last event that evening and it started sprinking and almost lost the car in a ditch (stupid non-compliant ride and track tires!).
Allow me to illustrate...
Took cover off:
Saw this after dinner:
Came this close to ditching her:
Needed this to get over it:
Listen to VWboy: if you see pavement, DRIVE IT!
Just because there isn't snow doesn't mean that there's traction. R rated tires are not meant to be driven at close to freezing temperatures and you can get black ice and stuff in this climate.
Would have been a nice weekend for a drive out. Just too lazy to try putting the battery back in.
Not sure why Oyagi didn't check forecast before driving out in December. Lucky the car stays in one piece. Don't mess it up now that you are looking to sell (or are you still?).
I've been driving around too... not a drop of snow...
when the weather is cooooooold and dry, the engine is loving it, and I can tell, very very fast car these days. I'm pretty sure everyone should noticed a difference.
You guys out east are lucky! Here in Winnipeg it snows then it melts, Then it gets cold and snows again, then it melts....makes the roads very very sloppy and pothole bound. Last night I pulled the car cover off and sat in the NSX for about 10min lol. Summer can't come sooner!!
