Guys,
You have to believe me on this....I live in Torrance, CA by the way and was heading towards the 405 S freeway for work. This brand new 2002 Long Beach Blue NSX was on the opposite side of the traffic. This car was driven by a guy in his late 50s (anyone on this board??). The car looked so perfect and "exotic" for the moment ( and yes, I almost forgot I was driving my NSX at the time hehe..). At first I thought it was a brand new 2002 Lambo Merciliago when approached from a distance, because of the headlight conversion. And plus the guy lowered his car to make it even better.
My conclusion is that all the 2002 pics we seen online is so deceiving. The car looks 10X better in person. I really want a headlight conversion now...anyone know if it is possible?

yes it's possible. But it'll cost ya !

Here's a fellow NSX'er from overseas (Hong Kong) by the name of Wilson Sham that had this conversion done. I believe he even repainted the entire car to light blue (yuck) and had just about everything modded to 02 specs. Go to NSXclub.com and look for it there. Good luck.

I live near the Torrance area (Palos Verdes actually), and South Bay Acura has a yellow '02 in their showroom. I still like the flip up lights better even after seeing the '02 in person. I think looks are really subjective and is really in the eye of the beholder.

Geez, I saw that one there many months ago...guess the new look isn't selling all that well.

I'm sorry, but the fixed lights and tacked on body panels of the 2002 facelift leave me cold...in person and in pictures.

For me...

No it's not possible at all.

The 2002 leaves me lukewarm. The lights and particularly the squared-off front bumper cover just doesn't do it.

For me that is.

For me...

...it doesn't look all that different. No, it doesn't look the same, but it doesn't look as dramatically different as the photos would lead you to believe.

It still looks like a Corv... I mean, it still looks like an NSX.

Personally, I hope they didn't spend to much money on the re-make, I assume they didn't b/c its weak for the most part IMO and they just wanted to squeeze what little profit they could out of the last 2 years of the model. I think they knew the car wasn't gonna sell anymore than normal, but they had to do something and this was the result.
