Painting, Mounting of a new bumper (plus the cost of the bumper)?

What if I need to have something in the frame straightened out a little bit?

Thanks for hte help.

(quick story: somebody swerved into me and i couldn't avoid him without hitting a curb. I hit the curb and messed up the bumper and scraped up my rim. The frame looks ok still though.

Onnly bumper is involved? I would say 3000$.

With a new rim+tire (if the other person pays.. :) ) 1000$.

I had somethig similar and I got those new parts for that price (only cosmetic) installed at a Honda dealership. If something below breaks/bends? That would make it expensive!

Your question is pretty vague. The "front bumper" consists of dozens of parts. See http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Reference/1991-1998_repair_catalog/parts2.jpg

Unless you hit something head-on or hit it much harder than it sounds like from your description, I doubt there is frame damage. But you are concerned that something may be bent from hitting the curb, you should also have your suspension checked out.

Post some pictures of the damage and people here can probably give you an idea what is likely to need replacement or at least careful inspection.

Lud is correct, as always :), and I should be more precise. My parts were upper and lower bumper plus the ground scraping spoiler. Those painted and installed totaled 3000$!

Jeez...$3,000?? That seems like a lot. Of that 3,000 how much is actually paying for the parts themselves?

I looked at the picture in that FAQ section and the only part that seems damaged is the #16 "Panel valence" (the part where the tow hooks are). Nothing else is bad.

Damn, $3,000 and I might as well go through my insurance.

Dude - you are having a streak of bad luck this month!!! First your wheel comes off and now you hit a curb. Best of Luck.

I am in the same situation......

I was going 80mpr on a turn and a civic swerved into me. I tried to avoid him and I hit a curb and another car. It damaged the front bumper, fender, rear wheel and rear quarter panel.

My total come out to be $15000 with insurence.

Front bumper $3000
Front fender $2000
rear quarter panel $4500
rear wheel and suspension $4000
Other small parts $1500

NSX parts are not cheap!

I know...i'm getting so frustrated right now...

Believe it or not, the John C Maxwell book "Failing Forward" is helping me alot right now...helps me realize that this is temperorary!! I'm just being 'tested'

that being said, i found a bumper, already black, for $800!!! I can use the FAQ thing to replace it on my own, but I'm going to have my NSX tech check out the car right now.
