I have a dali-super sucker that had been "sleeping" in my garage since I moved into my new house. I have the comptech supercharger and dont know if this thing improves performance or slow her down. I looks cool but I dont want to mess around with this thing if it doesnt do anything. Any advice would be appreciated:wink:

Hi - I have the Cantrell system on mine with the supercharger it all depends on wether or not the intake is connected up to it, I have a carbon fiber airbox so the volume of air is pushed (while moving) into the air box and is trapped until it is sucked in by acceleration..

If you have the RM or Injen type cold air intake the air coming into the engine bay is not channeled directly to the intake.

If you have the stock side air inlet replacing this with the Cantrell (super sucker) will have benefits either way. The only item to watch out for is running the car in terenchal rain - the stock inlet allows for drainage the cantrell has a little weep hole. I dont drive mine in the rain so I would not know of any potential problems.

The air sucking sound also is a little better
Of course this is my own opinion.

I have a similar set up as Rae does. I am running the CTSC with the lower carbon airbox by CT. I added the Cantrell Concepts Air ram which made the intake suction a lot louder. I used a OBD scanner type monitoring tool before adding the air ram and after and it seems intake air temps are lower by a few degrees. I think the reason may be becasue the stock or CT intake still draws air fron the inside the fender where there is raidant heat from the engine bay. While the air ram will only draw air from the outside. Worst case I guess you can always try and if you dont like it sell it. Hope that helps.

I have the CTSC and the cantrell ACIS. The super sucker connects to the stock air box.

Get rid of the stock air box

Im going to get the CF Comptech one but probably just the top lid. The stock airbox performs very well, shockingly enough

I wouldn't worry too much about the rain. I tested mine with a hose and sprayer nosel before I installed it into the car. I held the hose about six inches from the opening and let her rip. The only thing that came out up top was a little bit of fine mist. I'm guessing real rain will be even finer and anything that makes it through will be an extremely fine mist that will be caught by the filter.

I also drove the car through some very serious ran last weekend, some of it hard on the track, wide open throttle at 130MPH in the rain.

I agree, I was on my way from Atlantic City in a storm with my CAIS and no problems. I drove thru puddles and I was scared but no problems at all.

Kid,
I agree with you about keeping the stock box because it works. I had a K&N intake and took it off because it was just injesting hot engine bay air into the engine which obviously wasn't helping at all.
I put the DF side scoop in connecting to the stock box with at CT air filter and have the entire box connected to TB by a CF tube I got from Dali.
Sounds incredible at idle and cruising down road. Don't know nor honestly care how much HP I have gained by doing though.

I had an RM intake with the K&N filter... going back to the stock box, uni filter and improved scoop was definitely better. The aftermarket intakes that just suck engine bay air are more then likely going to be worse then stock.
