Interestingly, my '91 with Dali chip, Comptech headers and exhaust has a big fat Rejection sticker on it.
Up here in Taxachusetts, we have strict emission laws like Calif. Cars are run on a dyno, under load to determine emission output.
I had a post going a month ago asking for help in diagnosing my problem. So far I've changed plugs, run Techron thru the injectors, installed a new air filter. Still failing for Hydrocarbons, all other parameters are fine.
MJ at Dali doesn't think the chip affects low-rpm fuel mixture (I don't think the test goes over 3k rpm), but just in case, he burned me a stock chip. I plan on installing it this afternoon and trying to get a sticker again this week. I'll let you know what happens.
If that doesn't work, it may be a bad injector and I'll probably have to pay Acura to look at it.
FWIW, my issue seems to be isolated, I have yet to hear from anyone else running the Dali chip that their car failed emissions.
