D2S/R HID 9006 base adapters

Anybody know where to get 9006 base adapters for D2S retrofits? I'm looking to do a HID retrofit using OEM components. I remember seeing these on ebay not too long ago while I was doing a H4->HID retrofit on one of my Legends (European headlights, if anyone was wondering). Now, I'm unable to locate them and doing a search on Yahoo and Google has brought up nothing.

Just wondering if anyone here has done an OEM retrofit and/or knows of where I can purchase a 9006 base adapter for standard D2x bulbs.

I've only seen H7 adaptor plates for D2s/R

The base for d2s/R is pretty big.

I'm currently using a D2R setup in a H4 headlight housing on one of my Legends (the other is using an Autolamps 9006 kit). The base of the D2R fits the H4 housing with the help of a H4 adapter for shielding and positioning (3-tab cutout along the base).

I've found tutorials on rebasing a D2S/R using a cut off 9006 base, so I guess if I can't find the slip-on replacement bases, I could go that route.

If you want to use D2S I say forget the rebasing retrofit and go straight for a D2S projector retrofit. The 9006 projector in the NSX is really good compared to many other halogen projectors with a pretty good controlled cutoff, but it is still not the same as OEM D2S projectors. You know the saying on the other forum. Cry once and do it right. If you want the best, get the a spare set of NSX headlights and drop in some D2S projectors. IMHO, the benefit to this is D2S replcement bulbs are cheap and can be found easily and it will have a perfecy beam pattern compared to a retrofit in a halogen optics. Don't get me wrong, I'm using my 9006 kit from my Legend in my NSX as well, but I always planned on doign a full D2S optic retrofit.
