Hey Guys! I'm currently putting in new Comptech Headers and did a pre- inspection of the job before starting on it. So I decided to replace the Oil Pan gasket that has been slowly leaking, Fuel Filter, A/C Compressor Belt, New O/2 sensors cross referenced to NTK. I also noticed a small grease leak on the left inner CV boot. So instead of waiting for it to blow off I wanted to replace the boots while doing the headers.

So I called Acura to add 4 new boots to my list, and guess what, they are $133 ea  So thats x4 = 532 + tax I replaced 4 on my old Integra for $17 ea. I know this is no integra, but does anyone know of a possible cross reference for the NSX? Maybe the Legend V6? My Parts guy is pretty sure that boot kit is the same as another car but doesn't know what? Any ideas gents?

$133 may not be that bad if it included the installation. (But that price will definitely be different for the drivers side vs passenger side).

I purchased a CV boot kit from Ray Laks Acura in West Seneca NY last year for $22.47. With todays exchange rate that's $25 (no tax if they ship it to Canada). Much better deal than $133 !!

Installation is a mess. I considered it but ended up paying around $80 to IPC in Brampton.

The CV boot from another Acura may not be the same, because the CV shaft is unique to the NSX.

What you can do however, is order one for a Legend and one for your NSX, take some measurements. I would also look at the CV boot from the New TL too.

No that is just the part itself, what I might do is try to get all 4 boots replaced while I'm DIY the headers on. Most likely I will take the shafts somewhere to get them replaced. Not sure what the cost is going to be for someone just to replace the boots for me? That price from Raylaks is cheap, wonder why so expensive here?

I actually took the price from Ray Laks into Erin Mills Acura and showed it to the parts department (hoping he would offer some kind of discount from his list price). Needless to say, he didn't even budge, nadda, not a dime!

Wow! Somehow that doesn't surprise me at all! I also just paid $115 for a fuel filter, which I'm sure is only really worth $20! LOL Well I've been looking for a couple days to find something in Canada either aftermarket or OEM. But no luck, I will probably wind up ordering all 4 from Raylaks. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

I've always had my orders sent to a friends place in the States - therefore no GST and no brokerage fees. One of the sales guys at RayLaks told me that they sell alot of parts to a Canadian Dealer, Peninsula Auto in Oakville http://www.peninsulaimports.com/. If you don't want to bother with shipping charges and brokerage fees, maybe you want to give Peninsula a call and see what surcharge they will add to Ray Lak's prices to bring them to Canada.
