In need of someone to haul a car from Blaine, WA to Langley, BC
Also a customs broker. Any recommendations? Thx.

You can talk to our guy:

Brent Smith
@J.W. Smith
work (905) 542-7327 x22

Although he's in Toronto he has connections everywhere, they'll do all the work and he knows haulers and can make reccos.

um 8 miles for 800.00, dont think so.
Call a local guy, thats your best bet.
Trev

He's asking for suggestions. Red gave a valid one.

And so did I!!!
I phoned three places that I got quotes from to send my car to Sos.
They all told me thats so close, like 8 miles, so tell him to call locally.
So I did.
They said they would have to charge 800.00
So, whats the problem now????
Trev
p.s. - I did research, Red just wanted to get more posting numbers under his belt!!! lol

My apologies.

Once again Red sucks.

I'll call that carrier back and let him know, probably discount the haul down to 750.00 for his mistake.

Why not just drive it himself? And why bother with a customs broker? Importing a car isn't all that hard to do by yourself - I've brought in 3 so far. Unless the car is not allowed in Canada or it isn't in running condition I don't know why anyone would want to ship 8 miles and use a broker. Just my $0.02

BTW - I don't just post random crap - everything I post has MEANING!!!

thanks to all, I have documents in hand will be taking car through border myself. UNFORTUNATELY the seller spelled my name incorrectly, as time is short will customs accept a corrected bill of sale that has been faxed to me?

Shouldn't be a problem - american customs doesn't even look and CDN customs doesn't require an original BOS - you should be fine!

BTW - I'm FAST on the track, Dave is a bit slow, everywhere! :)
