After seeing Yellow NSX's custom made OEM side skirts, I decided I wanted a set for myself. So, I went to one the most respected body shops in the Sacramento area in search of having a set made. The results are I must say are AWSOME !!! And, since there was a lot of interest from other PRIME members, I asked the guy who did mine if he would be interested in making more. He agreed, so we partnered up to offer them for sale here on PRIME.
Keep in mind, in the picture of the finished skirt on my car it has NOT been finish mounted yet. It was mocked up with tape to allow for me to take a picture now. I will have more pictures of the finished car soon.updated picture are of the skirts finish mounted !!!!
I now have a set of FACTORY OEM skirts that mount PERFECTLY !!!! No fitment issues whatsoever ! No sagging and no special hardware to mount them. A very small and minor modification to the car (not really the car itself)is needed, as is with all vented skirts. And that is the plactic rim around the air release vent behind the skirts. About 1 inch of plastic grinding with a dremel tool ? grinder gets you the room for mounting the skirt with the vent and it will NOT affect the proper operation of the air release vent. For those of you who dont know (which I didn't), there is a 2"x4" (approx) vent behind the side skirts with a rubber flap that allows air to release from the confined areas of the car when you close your doors or trunk. see pics
Here's the deal...... Three options....
1.For $750.00 you ship your side skirts to me, I will have them modified and return them to you. Turn around time is 1 week. If we get them here on Monday, we will return ship them the following Monday.
2.For $750.00 you can keep your side skirts, buy a used set on PRIME, send them to me as a core and I will send you a set of already finished skirts.
3.For $900.00 a set with no core return. Keep your set and don't send a used set to me.
You will receive the modified skirts in primered READY TO PAINT condition.
The vent modification uses the EXACT same OEM skirt material. I have bought a used sets of skirts on PRIME to be used solely for material. I have two sets that are going to be modified shortly and ready to ship out. so wait time is going to be very short.
ALL prices INCLUDE the shipping from me to you within the lower 48 US states. Anywhere else is actual cost via the shipper of your choice.
It is your choice !!!
All skirts sent to me as a core MUST be in good condition with NO MAJOR cracks or damage. Minor scratches due to normal wear and tear is acceptable.
