Curling with cars

Love your thread title...lol. :)

That was painful to watch... when you've lost control and can do absolutely nothing but slide. :( Either that or these drivers all just came from a viewing of 2F2F and were eager to try their drift and donut skills. :D :D

What bothers me is that the photographer set up the camera at the perfect spot to capture all these accidents and he was laughing and giggling about them. I suspect the guy actually put oil on that particular section of the pavement to induce the skids.

That arrow on that truck cracked me up

Oh Yah, you gotta love the idiot DOT driver that puts the arrow on to direct people into the ice and the previous accidents.

haha wow that was nuts. sliding can be the most frightning/adrenaline rushing thing, depending on if you or mother nature induced it. and yeh that arrow truck didnt help much.

I don't think so. If you look at the entire film, you can clearly see that the ice is on the part of the road that is actually an overpass. If you've ever driven up north there are always signs before these overpasses that state "Bridge Freezes Before Road". It is obvious because once the cars get onto a part of the road that is not frozen, they dart in the direction t hat they had their front wheels turned as they were attempting to steer on the ice.

What most of these people did not realise is that the road conditions were poor and they did not maintain a safe speed when approaching the intersection. It's not fun being on ice and having no control over where your car is heading.

After watching the vid again.. I can't believe that I missed the driver of the dot truck switching the direction of the warning arrow..

thats a very good observation on the WGP...

I actually don't use cockers...

My weapon of choice right now is a Lasoya Intimidator, Eggy2, 68/4500, barrel kit....

anybody here able to make out where this was taken at?

i'm guessing Texas or Tennessee?

I will be going to Chicago and Des Moines in about a month to "meet the parents" .. even though I have reserved an AWD SUV while we're there, this video is giving me goosebumps..
