I'd take Stack gauges any day over those, but I am biased. Creative, but too 80's aka Tron aka Knight Rider as has already been mentioned.

I think its a wonderfull setup. You just have to change the graphical desgin of the thing, though that can be a challenge to get it right, the most difficult part (getting all the electronics going) has been sorted for this lad.
