The problem I found when changing my belts was the torque reaction force was very high for the required torque. I ended up making my own out of a flat piece of steel welded to a large nut with the right OD. I just had to grind out the threads slightly to fit the socket. I used the arm to be the reaction point with a torque multiplier so the making and breaking of the bolt was then very easy. This approach cost a couple of dollars for the material.
The cheaper tool is a better choice for the NSX due to it's flat shape, and I agree with Drew, this will probably not last. But....What is the size of these tools? Probably 50mm for the Accord, not the NSX. They are different, I have both.
While I'm at it ,would it be wise to order these valve adjusting tools? I plan on changing my T belt & water pump this winter and want to have all my ducks in line before proceeding.
Larry you were right,The more expensive tool is 50mm and the cheaper tool is 45 mm.
Where can you find Larry B's writeup for T belt replacement?
Alltrade 648822 Honda Valve Adjustment - Looks good to me, can't beat the price either.
Alltrade 648827 10mm Jam Nut Valve Adjustment Tool - Rather cute but I don't think it will fly. Adjusting the valve lash is pretty sensitive requiring high tactile feedback...ALL of which is defeated by the long flimsy handle. I suspect that it will be impossible to get the screwdriver onto the rear bank exhaust valves. Thumbs down.
