I know, I know this is totally off topic, but I thought I give it a try. Well, it's officially crab season here in the S.F. bay area. Every year around Thanksgiving most of my family members and friends get together and have dungeness crab. I've heard of places in Halfmoon Bay where these delicious crustacean can be purchase right off the fishing boats. I've never gone down to Halfmoon Bay to actually buy any from the fishing boats, because I just don't know where. I usually make my purchase at a local fish/seafood market. This year I want to try and buy else where....like from Halfmoon Bay. So, if anyone in or out of the bay area, from previous, had actually bought some crab right off of a fishing boat in Halfmoon Bay, please share your secret location where this can be had. Thanks in advance.

Just head to the pier at Princeton (El Granada), where all the boats are moored. If you're driving in on Rte. 1 from the north, it's just a half mile past the HMB airport. There are a couple of fish markets there, but the best deals are right on the dock at boatside.

Good luck.

Thanks for the information Ken. I figure you would be one of the first one to respond given your geographic location.
