I highly recommend CR as a vacation spot. We visited Manuel Antonio and the Osa, two very different parts of the country. Depending on what you're looking for, either locale is suitable for primo relaxation.
I saw ZERO nsx's, but there were an inordinate number of externally hopped up cars - sooo many aftermarket wings, in a country where the roads are marginal at best and high-speed remains a pipe dream for those with bridges made from detritus.
Here's a pic of a local 'type-r', it looked pretty clean except for the crushed CF taillight. It's the black car in front of the white SUV:
