I love enthusiast modifications of these cars, but am not sure the cooling system, particularly the location of the thermostat, is the issue with your '05.Before re-engineering the cooling system, it might make sense to post what issues you're having so others can check your troubleshooting.========================Late edit-I'm not an expert, but are you sure your understanding of how the existing system works is correct? I always assumed the thermostat was between the engine and the radiator, but honestly never bothered tracing the pipes.
