I see that the radiator fan and the small cooling fan on the engine bay are attached to one thermo sensor in the water passage housing.
I know that when it reaches a certain temp, this sensor sends a signal to the fans to switch on. But how come only the radiator fan switched on? The small fan did not.
I did try to ground the socket and both switched on but during normal operation, the small one on the side of the engine remained of.
The question is, when should this fan switch on? What should trigger it? Does the aircon play a role in this?
