A couple of months ago I found the perfect cooler for the trunk of the NSX. I bought it at Costco. It is called the Picnic Basket, it's made by Igloo and it measures 12 1/2 x 19 x 11 1/2 (d/w/h). It fits perfectly if it is positioned right. The right position is about 6 inches from the driver's side of the trunk and equidistant to the front and back of the trunk. If it is out of position the inside of the trunk lid hits it when you close it - you can still close it but it puts undue pressure on the trunk lid.

Mine is a '99 NSX, I'm not sure other years have the same trunk.

Funny you should mention that particular cooler. My wife bought one of those very same Igloos for our first NSX drive, but we couldn't make it fit in my 2000 NSX (we ended up putting it in my friend's ITR). When I get my NSX back from being serviced ( to remedy door latch paint scratch problem I've previously mentioned in the Forum

), I'll have to try the exact position you mentioned. It must JUST fit in there.

We have since bought a smaller cooler, but the larger one holds so much more that I'd love to be able to use it on long drives.

Sorry about the double posting.
One more thing: If you have the trunk mat it won't fit. I don't have it in mine, it robs trunk space.

Speaking of the trunk mat, I've been looking everywhere and I can't find it. I'd especially like one custom made to match the Black/Ivory car. Some Ivory trim with NSX in ivory......or something like that. Ayone know where I could find someone to make it or if it comes this way for sale somewhere?
