just changed my hoses over weekend , cut every hose open to inspect for deteriation , nothing , my car is a 97 with 90k miles did i waste my time ? no ,after 14 yrs it should be done ! bleed as per manual ,no problem

Mine was a 1991 with 119K miles and I saw no deterioration, other than possibly being a slight bit more pliant, on any of them either. It's good to "get er done" rather than find out the hard way.

It's difficult to truely test or inspect rubber components in a non-destructive manner (hoses, belts, etc). Better safe than sorry.

i had all the hoses changed last fall.the car's 15 years old,and i just figured it was time.it's a lot of peace of mind having it done. at least a few of them didn't look so good once they were off.
nothing lasts forever
