It's for a charity in Calgary; August 26, 2007 at McMahon Stadium.

They're hoping for 2,500 cars. Show and shine, BBQ, and hopefully some decent fundraising for cancer.

It's 30 bucks per car. They'll give you a tax receipt for it as well, so you can write it off.

If we get a big group from Edmonton, the guys organazing it are working on a police escort.

I'll lead!!
The RCMP around Wetaskiwin know my car already from summer.

Dan call me 953-1744
Ryan email me. Remember.

Sounds like a fun time. I'll mark this date on my calendar.

BTW Ryan, what are you driving now a days?

Hey Dan... long time no talk!

I'm driving the sweetest, most obscure thing right now. A gray, 2000 Dodge Caravan.

It works though; fits lots of stuff for skiing and hockey... I took the NSX to hockey once; the shoulder pads sat on the seat, the rest in the trunk and my sticks poking out the window.

BTW, I bought a new front lip, so if you want mine (I remember you saying that you liked the newer look to it) it's yours.

Just an update here.

The Edmonton Police Service Street Legal team is coming with us. We're still waiting on the Calgary Police and the RCMP to see about an escort from Edmonton to Calgary. Hopefully we get one, then we can make some decent time. :D

Emails have been dispatched to the Edmonton Corvette Club and the Porsche Club of America Polar Region. I imagine we'll get a good response from them.

When I find out about registration sheets, I'll let everyone know. This looks like it's going to be huge. Absolutely huge.

Ryan, this sounds like it will be a great time and with this much notice we should be able to field more cars then our previous meets. Let's pray the weather cooperates.

Hope they don't slow us down. Last summer I drove from south Edmonton to North Calgary in 2 hours with a coffee/pee stop in Red Deer.

I hope not either, Dan, but who knows... I might be bringing my car up in the snow () for the Motorshow in early March. I'll be installing my new lip for the show, and still have the old one. It's the later one, with the lower sides, and it's all yours if you want it. (and I see above I already said that...)

I also put this up on Ferrarichat, so maybe we'll get some F-cars out there too.

I'm planning two trips out to Calgary this summer ... one for my Langara Fishing trip ... and the other looks like it might be in the latter part of August ... so I'll have to see if some other Ontario Vette / NSX / Porche guys are interested in a convoy ... the F-Guys require chase vehicals for their cars  so that would just slow us down!

Ryan, I'll take your old lip if you are offering. Call me next week ... perhaps we can meet for coffee one evening.

Dan

Well, if you go through with it, your Ferrari will probably be broken at the side of the road.

(Kidding!! I want a ride!)

I still haven't made up my mind about the F-car, but I did take my vacation so that I can make it out to this event, I think it'll be great whatever I show up in. I wonder if someone should contact Zahir and see if he'll bring the Enzo out?

Ryan, perhaps you can put us as participating.
Nsxprime.com
I think that would be ok with prime, but maybe we should ask someone important here.
Someone important, can we?

I believe it's an F430. I remember downloading a video of them top speed testing. Those cars are beyond incredible.

Zahir has one of each, a Novitec twin supercharged 360 and a Novitec twin supercharged 430, the 360 is a yellow convertible and the 430 is a red coupe.

Checked the website today and it looks like they want people to register ASAP as they expect to be fully booked soon.

I'm assuming the folks attending will send in their registration individually ... I plan on sending mine this week. Did we ever get a head count on who will attend? I don't want to be the only NSX from the Edmonton region.
