Sold the Evo. Couldn't stand how loud and bumpy it was, not for daily driving... Fantastic car, super fast, handled amazing, just not something I enjoyed driving all day. After about an hour of it, I was toast in there... no cruise control, etc.

So I sold it, and the new owner gets it on Tuesday. It's the first car I've sold locally, so I'll actually get to see it around, too.

Picked this up for a DD.

'01 BMW 325 Ci. Nothing too fancy, just a comfy, quiet DD for crappy days and the winter. Bought it off the guy I sold the Evo to, so that simplified my life a lot. All the maintenance is up to date, so hopefully I can just drive and enjoy it.

Obviously, that's not nearly exciting enough for me to drive, so I splurged and bought a real toy. Finally took the two-wheel dive and picked up this 2007 Yamaha R6.

I'm taking my Class 6 learners on Monday, and then riding for a couple weeks to get comfy before my road test. Very much hoping I don't die on this thing. Also looking forward to getting some track time in with it, as well as just enjoying summer from a very different perspective. My mother, of course, is thrilled. Glad my parents live 350 kms away, haha.

Moral of this post? Probably should have just kept my NSX.

Damnit! I wanted to buy that Evo off you.

wrong section and forum pal.....is this not an NSX forum?? who cares about a POS EVO or any Mitsubishi for that matter all they make decent is ..nothing

DANG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you went from a car and made into another car and bike. That is not bad.. Pretty good move.

The BMW can hold hockey equipment too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can go riding sometime.

Trevor on the custom chopper
You on the R6
Me on the scooter
Albert on whatever he feels like taking out for the day.

Since my ride is not fast nor loud. I will not be hassled for speeding, stunting, or exhuast noise violations

I owned an NSX for 3 years, and after that an S2000.

My "POS Evo" was faster and handled better than my NSX, just FYI. Not a better car, overall, but it outperformed the hell out of it.

Why do I still post here? Because I still have friends here. I still hang out with them, even though I don't own an NSX anymore.

If you don't like it, don't read my posts. I've been on this forum for four years, not ten minutes like yourself. Learn some grammar and spelling, too. If you're going to try and insult somebody, try and look intelligent doing it. You got anything else to say, just PM me.

Ya your right...selling the NSX for those grocery getters is puzzling at best...

Tommy..you must be a little nicer:wink:

I sold my NSX last summer when I realized I'd never be able to mod it the way I wanted to. I was 24 years old, and in the Army not making good money, so my finances were tight. So I kicked it out the door for my S2K.

As for him being nicer, see my above post. I'm 100% sure I can be the bigger jackass.

Apparently we've found a bigger asshole than me!

Lucky you, I miss my sportbike ALOT. Gotta wait till my daughter gets a little older. Or I actually get married someday lol.....ok maybe not. If my life situation were different, I'd give up the nsx for another sport bike any day. Love my nsx but I've got motorcycles in the blood.

I'm following in 95eagleawd's footsteps having sold my Imola NSX and now driving an 03 S2000 until I get back to Canada. Then I'll be back in NSX ownership land...people are free to sell their NSX's.

The EVO's are brilliantly fast but at the end of the day they are a Lancer on steriods.

Congrats on making the move to different wheels albeit 2! Be safe...

It's not even the Lancer roots. It's an amazing car. The inside is a little cheap yes, but so's a Corvette. Just with a 3-inch exhaust and lowered, it's loud and bumpy. Fun in the city, but man, going to Calgary to visit girl/parents... it's just annoying.

The bike will be awesome fun. To be honest, they scare the hell out of me a little bit, so I won't be bombing around in it.

Have fun with your new toys brother...and F*ck the haters! Friendships are the true basis of this site. I love my NSX...but I don't try to take it too seriously...lol...would not want to end up like a majority of the Ferrari and Lamborghini crowd...lol.

Dam

Congrats on the new wheels ... all 6 of them! Checking out your posts is one of the highlights on this forum ... never knowing what you are driving next.

The BMW should be a nice reliable ride all year round and the bike should fulfill your more agressive side. Enjoy and stay safe.

Lighten up. This forum is more about car loving people than just about the NSX and having said that, Ryan knows more about the NSX than most.

I put 57 kms on it tonight, and I've only had it for 2 hours. It's entirely too much fun.

Three quick pics in my driveway... I'll take some good pictures when I get back from Winnipeg on Sunday. A glimpse of my BMW back there too, if anyone's interested.

No real plans, except getting a back seat and a real windscreen, instead of the red one.

Hey Ryan... should have let me know you were selling the Evo .. I would have come up to see it and most likely would have come back home with it. :frown:

And the sparks fly! Always know your enemy they say. People quickly forget that many people move on from the NSX for whatever reason. No harm in keeping in touch with others that retained theirs.

As far as your latest aquisitions, lots of fun. Passing the Evo on wouldn't hurt my feelings. Not all that practical a car for a family DD. Bimmer will work well for you as a replacement.

The crotch rocket is cool. Had a nice run with one about 3 weeks ago south of Calgary. Guy was being a bit of a jackass and I thought WTF, lets egg him on. Surprised the hell out of the guy when we did highway pulls that left him behind each time. lol Helmet blocked a clear view of the expression on the face, but gestures alone spoke volumes about the shock this bloke had when the Autobahn speedboat ran him down and left him behind. :)

Shot this one tonight. Bikes are hard to shoot, they look weird from a lot of angles.]

Hey Ryan, there's only one angle on an R6 and that's lean angle.....you should hire Shawna (Gecko) to take you to Race City for lessons, she knows all about R6's!
