Well Im from Houston but let me be the first to say Congrats to all those in Chicago and the White Sox organization. You team played some amazing ball and deserved the win.

Crede and Urebe were unbeleivable the whole series!

The only thing that I didn't like about the series was the way a few fans in Chicago acted during game 2. Two of the Astros wives had food and drinks thrown at them and then one of the women was slapped by a Chicago fan! Thats definately not the masses I know. Ive been to Chicago a few times and its a great city. Also as a Fox reporter was doing a commentary, the Sox fans were chanting "Astros Suck, Astros Suck" Thats just shitty. Why chant negative comments rather than chant positively about your team?

On any account, Congradulations on winning the World Series Chicago!!!

I too wish to congratulate the Chi Sox and their fans. There's a lot made of the fact that the White Sox aren't even loved in their own city and the numbers might suggest that but there are some true, die hard fans and I know they must be dancing in the streets.

I tipped my cap to Ozzie and his team when they whooped up on my beloved Halo's and even though I was pulling for the Astros (sentimental reasons for Baggie and Biggio), I tip my hat again.

The White Sox were clearly the best team in baseball this year and they deserve all that comes with it now.

Congrat's.

i'm not a pro sports fan and even *i* think their win is cool.

wtg white sox - and congrats to all sox fans and supporters.

It was a good series and I was very surprised at how amazing the sxo played. The last two outs in game 4 were completely unbelievable. I wanted the sox to win, but part of me wanted the Astros to get a couple wins. I don't feel sorry for them, but to work your butt off and get to the world series and get swept sucks.

Sorry to hear about the way some of the fans acted. :frown: Reminds me of that white trash dude who jumped out of the stands and attacked the umpire at that sox game. Some people need to have their head examined.

Unfortunately, this kind of behaviour isn't limited to the City of Chicago or White Sox fans. Ever been to a Raider game? Heck, even Angel stadium changes into one step short of a medium security prison when the Dodgers, Yankees, or BoSox come to town.

I grew up at the Big A and I don't know that if God blesses me with children how comfortable I'd be taking my kid to a ball game these days. The language, gestures, etc. that today's "fan" feels is acceptable is mind boggling to me.

BTW - with a few exceptions the few ChiSox fans that I encountered during the ALCS at the Big A were good people, real baseball fans, and cool to hang out with (even when they were whooping our butts).

Watched 7 inings of the last game. Couldn't really get interested in the series. That having been said, I'm glad they won cause I won a steak dinner bet with a buddy of mine.
