Anyone who has met me, seen my NSX or seen my license plate knows what a huge Angels baseball fan I am. So let me be the first on this board to say congrat's to the Chicago White Sox and their fans.

I know a lot (at least out here) will be made about the terrible job of umpiring that was done this whole series. And a big deal should be made becuase it sucked. But the truth is that the best team won hands down and even if the calls were made properly I think Chicago would have won anyways. It might have taken another game or two but the Chi Sox out pitched, out hit and out defended the Angels damn near all game, every game.

I've been an Angels fan since my first MLB game in 1978 so I know a little about suffering through some bad years and sitting through some disappointments. I for one, how that this is the year that the long drought for Chicago and their fans is finally broken and the Black Sox scandal might finally be put to bed.

Congrat's again to Ozzie and all his guys. With the exception of that jerk AJ, the whole team showed poise, class and skill. I wish you well.

Now I must go lick my wounds and start the long, dark winter waiting for Spring Training.

Thanks! That is big of you to congratulate the winning team, all too uncommon today. Now, about that bad umping??? In chicago we did not really hear that much about it...

You don't hear congratulations that much because, at least IMO, there's far too few real baseball fans anymore.

You guys simply outplayed my team. No two ways around it. I'm still very proud of my guys. We won something like 95 regular season games and beat the Yankee's. I don't know if we ran out of gas, if the injuries took their toll (Bart, B. Mo and I suspect Vlad) or what. But those are just excuses. The Chi Sox showed up ready to roll and that's just what they did. They rolled right over us.

So I tip my hat again and wish you the best in the WS.

The Angels had a tough road and went to game 5 with the Yankees and then had no rest, flew to Chicago and had to play a rested team. They did great and after game one I was worried that they were going to have some serious momentum and take the Sox down.

The one thing I can definitely say "thanks" to the Angels for is their trouncing of the Yankees.

I'm a longtime Indians fan, so I know a little bit about droughts. :frown:

I have to give the Cards some major props after last night! Unfreakinbelievable, last out and Pujoles hits that homer! Duh, silly Astros! I am a closet Cards fan after going to STL for school.
What the heck is an Astro anyway???

I'm actually pulling for the 'Stros because I'd like to see Biggio get a chance to play in the WS. That game last night was either incredible or brutal depending on who you were rooting for.

I had just finished telling my wife that with Lidge coming in, the Cards were done and then my man Eck gets on base (still miss you, little buddy), Edmonds walks (miss you too) and the Pujols hits a monster shot.

I just hope that doesn't break the Astro's back.
