Condensor fans

Can some expert tell me if the fans up front is single speed, or variable speed motor and step up due to external temperature to cut in.

they are single speed on or off

Has anyone had the brushes replaced vs. spending for a new one?

I have never heard of a bad condensor fan, have you checked the fuses.

Both fans are working fine.
Just felt the speed is slower than I expected. have spray cleaned both units but heat disspation is marginal. old age perhaps, mine is '91!

I had one go bad (no it wasn't just the fuse) and replaced it. It's a challenge to replace without taking the front bumper off but it can be done.
