Condensation in trunk?

I just purchased my 91 NSX, it is in fantastic shape, but it has a LOT of condensation in the trunk, and seems to happen even after I have dried it off. Right under the trunk top, when I open it, it is coevered in moisture.

Anyone else have this happen, or know if anything can be done to stop this?? I am afraid of mildew and/or keeping anything in the trunk due to the excessive moisture...

Thanks.

Thanks. Since no addressed it in the other threads, does anyone have a particular desiccant they would recommned, or are all desiccants created equal. I know how much I need, but was more looking for a decent provider.

Thanks!

Desiccant? Sure, but...

For trunk condensation, you need to (a) find and fix the place where it's leaking in, and then (b) let the trunk air out completely, with the trunk lid open, until it's thoroughly dry, probably for several days. This is not a job for a desiccant. Desiccants are used for longer-term absorption of airborn moisture, such as a car in storage - not for cleaning up moisture from leaks. If you really need a desiccant for long-term storage, I use the Cargo Dry-Paks from Desiccare.

dagobah,

I know you are a newbie here, but I already told you to use the search function. You can use the search by clicking on that little word "search" in the red bar above. For example, if you typed in "desiccant", you would find that a topic already exists and has advice on choosing a desiccant. It even includes nsxtasy posting the same link there (which is how he has almost 15K posts - he just keeps posting the same thing over and over again ;) ).

Additionally, search on the words condensation, moisture, and taillights. In my case the condensation in the taillights was CAUSING the trunk moisture you described and drilling small holes to the the taillights drain fixed both problems. Very explicit remedies are out there....
