What do you guys think about the Comptech exhaust VS. the Gruppe M exhaust? How is the sound and how do they look in comp. to one another? Anyone have pics of both installed?

I want to buy an NSX next year and being how I am I am trying to find out everything now, even info on after market parts. Thanx guys!

I have the GruppeM V2 on my car which I've been told is the same as the newer V3 with the exception of the dual tips (V2) vs. the large single tips (V3).

GruppeM vs. Comptech is really not a good comparison since they are both very different exhausts. Comptech is a lot quieter and more subtle sounding. GruppeM on the other hand is quite loud and higher pitched. Personally, I think the GruppeM looks and sound much better than the Comptech.

A better comparison would be GruppeM vs. Tubi. What type of sound are you looking for?

Well, I guess I have an idea of what the Comptech would sound like. You see I have a supercharged Honda CRV with Comptech headers and exhaust (it's really clean and when I get some pics upload I will post them! :D ), and I love the sound of the car. When I selected comptech I had never heard their system and I've really grown to love the more subtle sound of their exhaust... Of course my car is a CRV and it's not crazy fast so a quieter exhaust is more sensible. An NSX,on the other hand, is in a completely different category when compared to a supercharged CRV. So, I would deffinetly want a more agressive sound, not just something loud.

Oh, I was wondering what the Gruppe M V.3 would look like installed, what with the 4 tips and all. Thanx again!

I have the GM V3. They come with a single tip on each side, not dual tips. If you want to be different, get the GM. I like my exhaust loud, so the Comptech was not an option for me.

You should check out the SoS exhaust comparison chart on their site ( www.scienceofspeed.com) so you can have somewhat of a better understanding about the different types of exhaust available for the NSX.

You can also find installed pictures on their site as well.
