Hey guys,

I understand CT Lockout box prevent you from acciently ship into reverse.. if you have 5 spds to 6 spds swap.

Does it also prevent you from accidently downshift into inappropriate gear? Let's say from 6th into 2nd.. instead of intended 4th causing Engine or Tranny damage by over Reving?

No. The lockout device engages a solenoid which drops a pin in the transmission preventing you from shifting past the 5th and 6th gear cog, it will not prevent you from mis-shifting like you describe. This however is no different than how your transmission is now... the syncros will help prevent you from doing this. There were some inquiries into the 6-spd with our lock out included, drop Seth a line at [email protected]. We may be able to do a group buy if there is enough interest.
