I'm deciding whether I want to get the Comptech chip or not. What are it's benefits exactly? Does it raise the rev limiter? Top speed? I did a search on it but came up with nothing.

Andre,
What year is your car? If you are running an OBDI, 3.0L setup I have an alternative to the Comptech ECU upgrade. I recently had the BBSC installed on my '94 3.0L and have the Dinan Stage III chip that was in my ecu for sale. The chip is awesome for a naturally aspirated setup. It steups up your fuel mapping and timing in addition to raising the redline to 8,500rpms. With the Dinan chip and Comptech I/H/E I dyno'd 268.3rwhp and 205.1 torque to the wheels. This chip was originally over $400, the first $200 takes it. My Comptech carbon fiber cold air intake is also for sale. Good for 8rwhp according to Comptech. They sell it for $729, the first $400+shipping owns it.

Well I just wanted to get someone's firshand opinion. You know how Comptech is, very proud of their products. They'll probably just give me some exaggerated claim.

I cant comment on the comtech unit but I have gone on a drive with TampaBayNSX-R
before he was bbsc and with that dinan chip he was running his car appeared much faster then mine.if it were not for the fact that his frienf ben was running his turbo nsx with us I would have thought it probaby even faster (bens car cast a shadow over all the other nsxs that night). but for 200 bucks its a steal from the performance I saw from scotts car.I would buy it myself if I was not putting my car on the bottle until I go sc.. and am retarding my timing and going down a heat range on plugs thus negating the chip

Although I can't comment on the before and after of the Comptech chip, (bought the car with it already installed)I will have one for sale here in about 2 weeks (post BBSC) if you are interested.
