I have recently purchased a socketed ECU and the seller was kind enough to included a Comptech chip FOC.

Any ideas on this chip?

Cheers,

Was the seller running a Supercharger? You probably should know what that chip was set up for. I think Comptech sold tuned ECUs depending on the mods done to the car.

Yes the seller did. So is it safe to say that the chip wont run an NA car?

Hi i don't recommend running the comptech chip if it was meant for the supercharger. The fuel and ignition timing will be completely different and could possibly cause rich conditions for your car.

individual cars require an individual tune.

its like saying. everyone who is 6 feet and 180lbs will have to fit in to this sized shirt and slacks.

you can be 6 feet of pure muscle or 6, 180lbs of lard but you gota fit into this shirt and slacks combo.

if the car was tuned for SC and you got an NA car.. the difference is even more durastic.

i wont not use the chip.

You don't want to run that chip...I recommend a ProSpeed Stage II chip.

I would have to disagree with you on this... If the person was into hip hop wear XL would work for almost any size 6 ft with 160 lbs or 6 ft with 260. Am I not correct? LOL j/k

Ron98 is right, don't use it.

DISAGREE WITH ME?!

NO ONE CAN DISAGREE WITH ME!!! j/k:tongue:

lol. yep i get lots of questions on erom tunes from the mr2 guys. Its the same situation.

Rom tunes are a lot of guess work unless its done on site and is car specific and definitly should not be switched between cars even if the mods are EXACTLY identical.

Cheers guys I have another chip that I would try and save that one in case CT comes back!
