I've searched the forums for what the compression numbers should be. It looks like around 200? But is that just for the 3.0L engine or is 200 what the 3.2L should be at too?

I'm sure your answer lies in the archives somewhere; but that brought up a point I was pondering. Are all NSX engines interference engines, or just 97+? It is actually a related question.

I found 199 as 'nominal' but due to carbon buildup etc. in these cars as they get older 200-220 is normal, as per a Factor X representative that I found through searching; similar to your findings. As far as I know the compression was not changed, if the car was better tuned, bored .2 liters, and had the compression raised, the output would probably exceed the 276->290 margin acheived by the 97+ models.

If the interference design was implemented at the 97 change, then the compression would have most definetely have been raised, which is not the case.
