What gives with those cars? Why the huge platforms in the front? Looks like a diving board. And the pipes 10 feet in the air? How does that work in heavy rain? Maybe they drill drainage holes. I think one car had pipes out the hood. Some new ram air idea?
But why?!?
Hard to believe someone would spend that much time messing up a car.

Most of the time those types of cars are modified by some one whos in a "bousouzoku" (or a racing gang or literal translation "out of control driving clan")
They're usually kids who don't have a whole lot to spend on modifing their cars and are going for the most extreme bang for the buck... usually in the looks department. Their motto usually is to be as loud as possible, stick out like a sore thumb, and not conform(ie be a rebel).
Funny how being a rebel in the States and in Japan differs so much.

ohh my goodness!!! What's the deal with the oil coolers?? It's like one of them does something lame and all the others copy it exactly. At least 6 of them have identical oil coolers in the front and maybe 10 of them have the same exact front porch. LMAO :biggrin:
