Anyone going to the GW this weekend?...let me know...I am feeling like a drive this Saturday...and PM me with the directions...thx...Mike

Whenever I go, there's never anyone else with their X there. I saw some lowered black one about two weeks ago. Drove by, smiled, drove around the aisle, but never stopped. Sucked, cause I wanted to check his out. But NO, I'm not going to be there this weekend, I'm in Cali.

The GW saturday afternoon shows are really nice. They're pretty much friendly, and people don't put their hands all over your ride. But once the sun drops, some morons tend to act a fool.... some..

Mike,

I'd love to come up. I haven't been there all summer. However, all I can say is I'm a definite maybe, so don't plan on me. How do you like your G35?? My assistant has been looking at those and was asking me my opinion. I think they're great from all I've read and seen on it. Also.....um.....I was hoping to see some different vehicle additions to your sig line at the bottom of your posts!!! Take care.

I guess I owe apologies all around. I read the post too late to be of any good.

David, if that was me driving in circles a couple of weeks ago I’m sorry I missed you. If I go there early I drive around and if not much is going on I take off and go for a little drive and then return later. If I saw your car I would have stopped. I wanted to see you again before you took off to Cali. Enjoy being able to drive your car without having to read the weather report.

Mike, sorry I didn’t get in touch so you could have come down. We had 3 NSX’s there, a red one from Monument, and a blue one and my black one from CS. That is the most cars we had for a long time. The GW is on the SE corner of Powers and Constitution. You won’t find it on any map, I don’t think, but Powers now runs all the way north and hits Highway 83 just before Pikes Peak Community College. If you come down I25 you should be able to get off at exit #153 (Interquest Pkwy), hit Highway 83 and then the S Powers exit. It would be nice if we had another drive from Denver to the GW like last year. The weather could have been better but it was a fun drive. I’m not sure but I think highway 67 through Deckers that we took last year was washed out by rain.

Again, I’m sorry. I hope nobody thinks it was any disrespect from the CS folks, just bad timing.

Dave

Dave...no problem...since I didn't hear that anyone was going, I didn't make the drive myself...how about next Saturday?...meet around what time?...and then let's plan something then...Mike

Hey there Dave, no I don't think it was yours. This one had had 17/18 or 18/19's . I do recall meeting you a few months ago though. I had mine there with the stock wheels still at the time when we first met. There is a nice silver NA1 in the springs too, has a NSX clob of america sticker on the rear hatch.

The weather here has been SWEALTERING hot. It's barely cooled down this week. But since the day I arrived till this weekend, my poor paint has been baking in the 110+ or so degree heat. No garage :(

Mike,

Things really don’t get started until 5 or 6pm. If it rains… hardly anyone shows up. I will try to be there around 5. Let me know if you decide to come down.

Dave

Dave...I am going to shoot for getting there at 5...weather permitting of course...

Chris...the G35 is my wife's:biggrin: and she loves it...I don't drive it much but everytime I do, I am amazed how well it handles and drives overall...I don't think there are many better coupes out there...we got the premium package with some toys...the only complaint I have is that it doesn't have memory driver seats...but, I understand the newest ones do...also, no new toys yet...came close with an F-car...but, couldn't make the deal:frown:

Hope to see some CO owners in the Springs on Saturday...Mike

Thanks for the info Mike. I just now checked Prime. I would've loved to have been there tonight, but that's what I get for not checking in!! Got some hours flying in anyway. Take care. Was there a good NSX turnout?

It looked like it was going to rain all day. I can’t blame anyone for staying away. I was there from 5 to 6pm. I didn’t see any other NSXs. It never did rain but the conditions kept a lot of other cars away.
We still need to do a Denver to GW run like last year. Highway 67 through Deckers is closed so a new route would need to be found. Maybe 285 to Fairplay, then 9 to 24 and then 24 to Spgs. It’s about 160 miles but trying to cut across the mountains on a decent road is hard to find.
Let me know when anyone is coming down to the Spgs. again.

Dave

It was pretty crappy here in Castle Pines, so I decided not to make the trip...and my car does not get wet... I am up for a drive from Denver to GW again...but, I think I heard the same as you that the Deckers road got washed out...any other ideas?

Mike

Grocery Warehouse. There's an informal car show every Saturday there where people from all different "scenes" (import, domestic, etc.) show up and check out each other's rides. No judging or anything, just kind of a cool hang out spot. The one time I went there were 40-50 cars, pretty neat.

My meaning of GW is "Grocery Warehouse" located at Constitution and Powers. Its like one of the only times you will ever see muscles cars/ classic cars/ ricers/ domestics/ street racers/ exotics/trucks/ 4x4/ etc etc all get along really well. But when the sun dips down and all but the ricers stay, thats when occasionally some of the morons come out and do stupid sh!t.
