Which color TE-37's would you go with ? White, silver, bronze, or black for a red car

If it has to be a te-37, I say bronze. Personally I would go with the le-37 in gunmetal. Your car your call

I am gonna go with some 15 / 16's , to get the most performance as possible.

rock'it OEM size!

I'd personally go for the 16/17 combo: being a NSX, tire availability/variety, if-ever want to do BBK, aesthetics & practicality both, etc'...

Informative thread regarding 16/17 Volk TE37 + NSX + track/performance:

Oh, I voted silver... gunmetal preferable though! (bronze-calipers!)

Well, Thats my problem at the moment. I want the best handling set -up that i can have. Most good track tires come in 15 / 16's. And yeah if i ever were to get around to the brakes then 15's in the front is a problem.

If any can help with a semi- bbk for 15 in. volk TE- 37? or i think that the volk ce28's have better clearance for brakes. If can't find better brakes that will fit inside 15's yeah i guess i will go with 16 /17's

Thanks for the thread

Re: rock'it OEM size!

This is nice: TE37 Forged 15x6.5 ( 8.8 lbs ) TE37 Forged 16x7.5 ( 11.3 lbs)

It' will make for a total loss of 22 lbs of unsprung weight, from my 91' stock wheels. Not to bad at all ! in think i might go this way and,

maybe just get some rotors and pads untill, i can find a 15 in. wheel semi-bbk.

Using nsxhk's car as a guenia pig... hope he doesn't mind.

I voted black...

I think gunmetal looks superb on this red NSX:

Why not go 16x8 out back? There's no sense in getting a narrower rear wheel just to save a pound or two.
Yeah, all the tire's that i have been looking at for 15 / 16's . Fit fine on the 7.5 in. wide wheel for the back. I was going to run 205/50/15 in the front
and 245/45/16. I am not sure how 225's would be with the 245's ?
they didn't have 215/50/15. in the Potenza S-03 Pole Position. 215's would go nice with 245' for the rear. I have't made up my mind yet. i want the 15 / 16's combo B/C 8lbs and 11lbs in the rear, is worth it. And tires are cheaper, weight, handling, the ride wouldn't not be compromised as much, B/C i also want to lower the car as much as possible for the street.

If i were to go with 16 / 17's i guess i would really only give up a little of all the things i gain by going with 15 / 16's, But gain being able to fit a bbk, which is important to me. If upgrading, i was keeping in mind that the stock 91' wheels are light, and going with16 / 17's will not cut near as much weight if any to make a differance compared to the 15 / 16's. ( "who needs the bling" ! ) (Tho, after buying the wheels and the suspension,
and also just putting a RPS clutch in. I will not money to to even look at brakes.

Anyways, i will be getting the TE-37's, i liked the ce-28's but the multi- lug hole's are a turn-off. IMO the TE-37 look better buttoned up with a nice Honda center cap. (they would pass off as being closer to factory wheels)

Thank you Racingheart, and Nihilation for the pictures.

Thanks to all that are helping pick the color. I will pick it, i justed wanted to see what everyone likes on a red car. I am a fan of the white, but gun-metal looks sharp. And my eyes have been openen up to the bronze too.

They dont come in black as a standard color.

You'll have to do that color yourself if you want it.

That's half true. :)

It isn't a "standard" color. Bronze and white are the only "standard" colors. But they do offer a few "custom" colors, including gunmetal and even black. Here's a red NSX with black TEs:

I'm not sure if these were black straight from Rays or if the owner had them refinished, and of course they aren't 15/16, but you can at least get the idea of the look.

I'm not sure you could go wrong with any of the listed colors. However, I preferred silver on mine:

Yeah, i am still deicing the color. I am also considering 16/17's. There are alot of street tire sizes that i like, and the bbk factor!

Thanks to every one helping out with the red' car pictures.

I was looking at the LE37T's, i read this somwhere on another thread:

LE37T is a bit different - the lips are polished vs. painted like TE37. also, LE37 is slightly different in construction and spoke design (hardly noticable).

Here they are on a bmw.

The only good picture of the wheels is at the bottom of the page!

Here's a couple of action pics of my red NSX with Bronze TE-37s in 17"/18" flavour:

Gotta get the center caps, my next priority

Actually, LE37T and TE37 are the same wheels with different lips and caps.
I had TE37s in 17/18, LE37T 17/18, and now LE37T 18/19. I think the LE37T will look very nice on a red car.

Looking good. Thanks

Are you listening to the radio on the track:biggrin: ?

I like the TE37 better than the LE37t's.

I will go with the TE37's , I just have to pick the color ( all the colors look sweet) and pick the size. 15 / 16's or 16 /17's ?

Those are the TE37's on the black car?

Because the LE37t's in the pics on the m3 on the link above, look way different with the way that there's a circle in the middle of the TE37's and then the lugs holes inside the circle, as where the lug holes on the pics of the LE37t's on the m3 are sunk into the spokes.
