Color coded roof in 91-93?

I've seen a few ads of 91-93 cars w/ matching roof to body. I was under the impression that didn't start until late 94. Did Acura produce NSX cars in 91-93 with same color roof as body? I've seen red & silver in for sale ads.

The only NSXs sold in North America for model years 1991-93 that came from the factory with the same roof color as the body were the black ones. All others were repainted. (Hopefully the roof portion was repainted, not the body portion.)

i thought all were black roofs until 95 when they introduced the targa.

Not exactly. Most of the green cars in 1994 (all but the first 20 or so out of 150) had body-colored roofs, while the other colors all had black roofs until 1995. And later-year coupes (other than the Zanardi) were also available with black roofs.

Gary AZ had it right by asking about the 1991-93 because it makes the question and answer much clearer without bringing up the details about the green cars needed to properly answer when asking about 1994.
