with the winter cold temps around 30 my car will move if I start it up in gear even with the clutch pedal to the floor. is it possible that the increased thickness of the cold fluid could cause the movement or is the clutch out of adjustment ?
any insight appreciated

Do you have a hard time shifting into gear also? I would suspect the clutch not completely disengaging. I would think 30 degrees is not quite cold enough to firm up the fluid(I am assuming you have Honda MTF or like fluid). I had this happen to me years ago on a ski vacataion, but it was 26 below:). So cold that a car at the resort had the entire rear windshield shatter
