hi everyone
i was wondering why all the Japanese Manufacture made their coilovers with a rear spring rate higher then the front?
company like Tein, Zeal, Buddy Club, JIC, their coilovers are all like that, i understand that the NSX are use to oversteer more then understeer, so wouldn't stiffer rear suspension makes the car easier to oversteer?

and i do see some owner change the settings, they switch the springs around so the stiffer spring in the front... so whats going on here? so all the japanese company want us to dori dori (drift) with our cars?

...i just found out the drift king coilover DG5 has a spring rate of 9kg/14kg
thats dori dori right here! anyone using the DG5??

I have them and love them. I switched the Swift Springs from 14k to 11k in the rear. I'm toying with running the 11k in front and 9k in the rear but right now the set up is awesome great ride and handling. The Coilovers are expensive but the quality is top notch 100 percent made in Japan no China parts on them.

I know Billy likes to see a particular ratio front/rear on his NSX's no matter the rate. Maybe he can give feedback here...

Wow that was a terrific thread Doc, thanks. Made me miss having john@microsoft around. I'm lovin' all this suspension talk. I love track talk. The other sections of the forum are boring in comparison.

LOL... I'm already turning into a snob...

I'm glad you bothered to look at my link...I start to lose faith in humanity when I post old threads germain to the topic at hand and the op says something like : well that was 2 years ago,or that link was about the left door and I'm asking about the right.....you get the idea....
