Same as the others. They hold the main spring in place when you jack up the car. The difference is these zero rate helper springs only take up about a 1/4" when fully collapsed vs the others which take up about 2-1/2". So the spring perch can be raised up 2-1/4" and the ride height ends up being the same. The only down side would be the shock is compressed the extra 2" at static ride height so you lose that little extra travel. But the KW for the NSX has plenty of stroke so it isn't a big deal.sent from my crappy cell phone.
