I just had the coil packs out of my car and noticed that one of the orange ,rubber weatherpack seals located in the electrical connector to the coil was damaged ( split in half). This must have been done in the past as I had a lot of difficulty getting that connector apart and couldn't reconnect it with the rubber seal installed.
Q--can I get another rubber seal for the connector or do I need to purchase the entire connector itself?

Doc308,

You will not be able to easily buy the connector or the seal. Best to find a used harness out of another car and cut the connector off:).

Hi, Larry--yes, indeed. I went to my local dealer today about this. Aside from using rubber cement to fix the seal, which the mechanic did, the only option the parts catalog has is a new engine harness--at the cost of around $2400!!! The cement and /or electrical tape sudden sound very good to me.
