I'm thinking that it may be a very good time for me to start thinking about getting an after-market clutch.
I did a few searches and found nothing relatively new or helpful...
I have a '91 TT and running the stock clutch. the TT kit has only been on the car for less than 3K miles, but I can already feel the trama that I'm exposing it to. I'm planning on increasing the boost to about 8psi, as soon as my AEM engine management system comes in. So technically, I will have more torque than the estimated 305lbs for the normal TT system.
I'm looking for a good clutch that can handle daily driving as well as several track events in the future. I've heard good things about comptech's ACT's and definately want a lightened flywheel. What are you guys running and what is recommended?
Also, someone had recommended me get the 4.23 short gears for my car, but after looking a the acceleration from 0-120, http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/drivetrain_performance_products/NSX/gears_LSD.asp, the gears really have no added benfit in time. I know that this would be a good time to add them, but if I'm not going to really feel them...then why spend the extra money? I want to keep my final drive and that is why I don't want to swap out my R/P.
thanks,
Allen
