Good Morning.
I ordered and got a tool in from the Acura dealer that I was told was for the install of the clutch. I go to use the tool and it is the wrong one so I go and try to get the right one from the Acura Dealer and was told the only way I could get the Clutch Insertion Tool was from Honda America. Does anyone know where else you can get one from other than that. ANY AND ALL HELP would be appreciated as this is the only thing holding the car down right now. Thank You for your time..

Yes that is what I am talking about. In the manual it says I need this metal shaft to align the clutch plates. I would appreciate it if I could use the one you have. I will pay for the shipping and what not. I will PM you with my address. Thank You so much for your help.

I think you are having issues lining up the clutch disc's so you can install the transmission?

An old input shaft is perfect for this, as they are the actual part of the transmission that uses the clutch system.

There are also plastic inserts that work OK.

When you get the clutch disks aligned and the initialization done remember that the tranny input shaft has to be EXACTLY aligned for it to go in.

SENNAF1 and I did his clutch a couple months ago and it took us about 45 minutes just to get the two to "mate".

Something that we did was to use the really long bolts, that hold the front lower member in place, to put through the top tranny bolt holes into the engine to assist with the alignment. When there was no preload on the bolts I took a 1X4 piece of wood about two feet long to apply some pressure on the rear of the tranny. Myron was on the crank, pulley end, moving the crank back and forth with the pulley tool. Those splines are really tight.

Waa Laa she slid in. Reminded me of times gone by from high school.

Remember to apply a thin coat of HONDA Hi Temp grease on the splines of the disks and input shaft. Don't get carried away though, just a thin flim with an acid brush.

Larry, I went to a different dealer here in San Diego and found out that there was only two clutch tools left in the entire system. So I had him put me one on order. I also have an alignment toold coming in from Drew out of Malibu. He sent it over the weekend.

This isnt just for Larry and the help he gave me over the phone and on this website but for everyone on here that has offered their help or tools for this repair. I want to thank you all. Without sounding like a kid. It means a lot to me. So once again thank you all.
