tmeekins,I think for the 1997 (single plate) $500-800 is VERY low. The newer clutches are very expensive. More like $2200. A friend of mine had it done on his 1997 a few months back. It's the fylwheel that will kill you $$ wise, it cannot be resurfaced.R & P for that trans (6 speed correct?) will have to be the 4.55 from Comptech at $1895. A few hours labor (3-4) JUST FOR THE R&P.It you do both these jobs together you will only pay to R & R the trans once, so it is wise to do so.HTH,LarryB
