Is there a way to adjust the clutch pedal travel distance?

I recently drove my friend's S2000, and the clutch pedal travel distance in his car was very short (i.e., the engagement point was same as the stock, but the clutch pedal does not travel as far down as stock). For instance, my clutch pedal travels really far down, and it seems as if it is quite unecessary considering that the engagement point is all the way at the top.

He mentioned that the clutch pedal travel distance can be adjusted. How do you do that? Is it recommended at all?

Thank for your help!

Tiger,

Page 12-4 of the on line service manual. But.... I do not think this adjustment will accomplish your goal. It will nto shorten the pedal travel.

Thanks for pointing that out, Larry. :)

I checked it out, and it does not show in detail what would be the proper way to adjust it. Perhaps, I just have to read it more carefully..

Tiger,

It really just gives you the dimensions. You have to adjust the rod length to get the dimensions correct, also you will have adjust the clutch pedal switch, if I recall, once the pedal dimensions are correct.

Again, this will not change the pedal travel distance.
