the other day my clutch pedal stuck to the floor. I notice that the clutch hose line is leaking fluid, so I replace it with a new oem unit. I go to bleed the system but i cant get pressure back on the pedal, i have refilled the reservoir twice but still no pressure, how long does it take to bleed the air out? maybe i have a bad master cylinder?

Remember that when you are bleeding the clutch fluid that the pedal will not return on it's own like a brake pedal will. There is no return spring in the clutch master. If you are using the old school way to bleed the fluid you will have to pull the clutch pedal back up each time. When you do this it should remain in that position until you push it down again. Keep the reservoir full because it is very easy to run it dry and introduce air again.

Look under the carpet (interior near clutch pedal) near the clutch master and see if you have any fluid there. If so you have a bad master cylinder.

I am fairly certain you are running out of fluid during the bleed. You can only get about 5 pumps out of the clutch pedal and you MUST refill the tiny reservoir before continuing. I use a quart bottle on top of the reservoir and typically pump 100+ times by hand for a complete bleed.

wow, 5 pumps to empty the reservoir- good info for anyone who hasn't done it yet.

thanks guys I had taken care of the problem a few days ago, just needed more bleeding. Im suprised how long it takes to bleed, then refilling every five pumps:rolleyes:

I used an Ez Bleeder to do mine. Its like a big syringe used to back bleed the system works pretty well. Its what they use to bleed brakes on bikes.
